中市府斥資3億　坪林森林公園明年底啟用

【黃任膺／台中報導】台中市政府水利局將斥資3億5千萬元，將11.4公頃的土地規劃兼具滯洪池功能的「坪林森林公園」，預計明年年底完工啟用後，除將提供舒適的休憩活動空間，也可在汛期時提供區域集排水滯洪空間，改善當地排水。非汛期時則可舉行各類戶外活動。

水利局表示，太平區人口成長已逾17萬人，但公園綠地僅有18餘公頃，每人平均使用綠地面積僅約1平方公尺，且近年因為氣候變遷、高度發展的都市土地利用型態與區域發展建設，改變水文環境，常發生超出保護標準的洪災。

水利局積極興建「坪林森林公園」，增加該區域綠地面積及民眾休憩空間。其中滯洪集水面積為19.29公頃，生態滯洪池空間約可容納3萬2,000立方公尺；森林公園保留既有喬木674株、新植喬木539株、新植灌木約6萬4,028平方公尺、水生植栽及草坪約8萬6,785平方公尺。
