在過去的一個星期裡相信大家都將焦點放在 IFA 2013 的硬體上，當中由 Sony 所推出的 QX10 和 QX100 更是焦點中的亮點，但其實 Sony 在軟體的層面也有新消息呢。他們剛剛推出了 Camera Remote API（相機遙控）的 beta 版，用途就是將具備 Wi-Fi 的裝置去作為 Sony 攝影裝置的遙距控制器和第二螢幕，例如手機和平板，而且這個 API 更可以用在 Android、iOS 和 Windows（Windows Phone？）裝置身上。而目前已知會支援的攝影裝置包括 Sony Action Cam HDR-AS30、HDR-AS15、HDR-MV1 音樂攝影機、QX100、QX10、NEX-6、NEX-5R 和 NEX-5T，更多的型號會在未來繼續加入。
