美國政府關門衝擊全球經濟

倫敦大學學院 (University College London)美國史教授，專攻美國總統制度與經濟政策的專家Iwan Morgan在CNN評論指出，美國政府如果關門，將對全球經濟造成多方面衝擊。首先是正在辛苦控制其債務難題和掙扎復甦的歐元區，尤其希、愛、西，甚至法國，經濟過渡倚賴金融體系的英國亦然。這些國家的反撙節派將援引美國的錯誤示範，開始賴債。其次是美國一定會被債信評鑑公司降級。第三是美國很難再以低利出售短期公債，結果將是倚重利息較高的中、長期公債，而這將會傷害美國目前為了經濟復甦而實施的低利政策，進而傷及亞、歐、拉美。美國利息上升，將會吸引全球資本湧入，眼前需要信用來維持經濟復甦的歐洲國家受害最大。
