不用懷疑,當初Gigibit ehternet 定案時
就是指定Cat5e的線材,規定要能跑100米
後還甚至有些晶片還吃Cat5的線...

我自己甚至測試過120米還可以跑到全速
之前甚至有180米的紀錄,而且用的還是雜牌線
不是AMP,Lucent 之類的高檔貨唷

Cat6 比較尷尬一點,並不是哪一代的ethernet指定用線
而且Cat6有加屏蔽層,理論上可以抗雜訊實際上就不一定了

最新10G ethernet 是用Cat6e的,長得跟Cat6差不多
只是頻率響應的範圍有再加大

Cat7就比較遙遠了,不過用在一般Gigabit網路,效果未必比
cat5e要理想,所以買網路線,最新最貴未必最好用
