陸軍542旅上士范佐憲是洪仲丘命案關鍵人物，軍事法庭認為召開士評會不但未依規定，且還導引證詞，因而在下午2點45分裁定將其收押。

最高軍檢署稍早發布新聞稿指出，范佐憲上士為貫徹連長徐信正少校對洪員懲處意志，利用擔任士評會主席之機會，主導士評會委員之投票結果，肇致洪員受悔過處分，因認范員與其連長徐信正共犯「職權妨害自由」及《陸海空軍刑法》「對部屬施以法定種類以外之懲罰」等罪嫌重大，經軍事檢察官訊問後，因范員於案發後曾企圖影響他人證詞，且尚有證人待傳喚及有無共犯待釐清，非予羈押，恐有勾串共犯或證人之虞，當庭收押。
